Antoine-Joseph "Adolphe Sax" (born 6 November 1814 – dead 7 February 1894) was a Belgium musical instrument designer and musician who played the flute and clarinet, and is well known for having invented the saxophone. He also invented the saxotromba, saxhorn and saxtuba.

Who is Adolphe Sax?

Adolphe Sax was born in Belgium on November 6th 1814. While his noun was Antoine, he was referred to as Adolf from infancy. His dad and momy were musical instrument designers themselves, who made a few changes to the design of the antler. Adolf began to make his own instruments at an early age, entering two of his flutes and a clarinet into a rivalry at the age of 15. He subsequently studied performance on those two instruments as well as sound at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
